Dhak fort is situated near Karjat  at a height of 2300 ft. Reach Vadap village from Karjat by the morning bus and start climbing along the path. Bhimgad lies on the left and is a nice place to go to. Continue along the main path to reach a huge plateau. From a well, a prominent path goes off to dhak. This hike takes about three hours. Atop there are only a few water cisterns apart from crumbled fortifications.One can also visit the bahiri cave on the vertical dhak face from here. Nice winter day trek.
